Visual Art Elementary (K-8) Digital Learning Activities

Thank You Poster

During this time, it is important to remember that there are many people who are going out every day to work while a number of us are staying home safe. These people are making it possible for us to still receive medical care, groceries, mail, etc. Thinking of this, create a poster thanking those who are "Essential Employees". If you know someone personally who is, feel free to add them to the poster; for example, my husband and brother are essential employees so I added their names in addition to things such as medical staff, grocery workers, truckers, sanitation, police and fire, medical, etc. Think about font (remember, it is not the same as just writing your name. Think about sizes, styles, and what you want to be bold vs. what can be a little more in the background). Add designs as well; I added a rainbow as it has been a symbol for "Hope" at this time as well as hearts as they represent love and appreciation. Try to think of ways to make your poster your own. You can use any materials you have - crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. I used colored pens and markers, nothing fancy, to create mine. Simply do your best, be creative, and as always, have fun!!!
