You will watch a video about the frontline workers of the COVID-19 crisis using guided questions. You will preview and expand critical vocabulary with a word study chart. You will review the Using Synonyms strategy to reinforce word meaning in preparation for reading the argument, “Is Survival Selfish” by Lane Wallace on Day 2. You will close read the selection and answer guiding questions in order to determine the author’s purpose, central idea and theme of the text.
