Using guided thought questions, you will watch an informational video about a courageous, record-breaking woman. You will preview and expand critical vocabulary and practice using imagery with a word study chart. You will review the Concept Web strategy to reinforce key word meaning in preparation for reading an excerpt from the travel narrative, “The Cruelest Journey: 600 Miles to Timbuktu” by Kira Salak.
