Prerequisite: It is recommended that students take Active Lifestyles 1 or Active Lifestyles 2 before participating in this course.
Content: This course offers a variety of competitive and recreational activities to include flag football, floor hockey, and basketball, which involve team play and lifetime activities. Students will learn skills, strategies, and rules of the game (physical literacy) while working on interpersonal relationships in a cooperative environment. In addition to the gameplay activities, students will also partake in strength training, fitness testing and health-related components related to assessing their personal health and attaining the goal of living a physically active lifestyle into adulthood.
Activities: Skill development, gameplay, strength, and cardiovascular training, fitness testing and health concepts related to living a physically active lifestyle.
