Content: As members of planet Earth, we all have an important role to play in being sustainable partners who cooperate with nature.
This course will look at how we study and manage our Natural Resources. Areas of study include Ecology and Ecosystems, Forestry, Water Resources, Fisheries, and Wildlife from a local and national perspective. The course will provide students interested in Environmental Studies and Conservation careers, as well as those who spend time in the outdoors, a background for further college or technical college studies. This course can help prepare students for the AP® Biology exam.
Activities: Lectures, laboratory experiments, nature area studies, discussions, videos, speakers, and readings.
Cost: An appropriate fee for field trips.
