NOTE: Students enrolling in an AP® class will automatically be registered for that course's exam. An exam Opt-Out option is available.
Content: AP® Human Geography is a college-level course that introduces students to the systematic study of patterns and processes that have shaped human understanding, uses and alteration of Earth's surface. Students employ spatial concepts and landscape analysis to examine the human social organization and its environmental consequences. They also learn about the methods and tools geographers use in their science and practice. The course will also focus on defining regions and evaluating the regionalization process while characterizing and analyzing the changing interconnections among places.
Activities: Multiple texts, research projects, multimedia presentations, computer activities, discussions, group activities, reports, case studies, outside reading and internet activities.
Cost: An exam fee if AP® exam is taken.
