Content: This course is designed for the advanced college-bound student who has demonstrated excellent reading, writing, analytical, and research skills. The course moves at a more accelerated pace and continues to develop skills necessary for success in future social studies classes and the global community. The primary purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the geographical, historical, cultural, and political aspects within Asia and Africa. In addition, modern issues and current events will be integrated into this course.
Activities: Emphasis will be on individual and group seminars, book reports, class interaction, multimedia research projects, and current events.
