Course Content: Competing in a global economy requires an understanding of the basic principles of international business. Global trade, imports and exports, currency exchange, international organizations and agreements, and international business careers are examined. Cultural awareness topics include international business etiquette, stereotypes, gestures and nonverbal communication, gift-giving, the role of women, table manners, and customs. This course provides students with insights into being successful employers/employees in a global marketplace.
