Content: Manufacturing Materials Processing is a hands-on technology course that allows students to explore the broad range of materials and processes used to produce the products demanded by modern society. Students will gain valuable experience with materials such as wood, metal, plastics and ceramics, and with processes such as forming, turning, machining, and fabricating. Students will be asked to complete an in-depth project of their choice using a variety of the materials and processes studied.
Activities: Class demonstrations, videos, discussions, and hands-on experiences.
Cost: There will be a cost for materials required for projects retained by the student.
