"ARETE" PROJECT-BASED LEARNING COURSE OF STUDY
Have you ever played the role of Gandhi in a debate against William Shakespeare over many mind-bending topics? Has your education allowed you to make a difference in the community? In the Arête Academy, opportunities like these exist every day. The Arête Academy is more than just math, science, English, or social studies classes, it is a family of peers that work together to accomplish incredible goals. When students are presented with a problem by administrators, teachers, or community members, they use creative and critical thinking, collaboration, and classroom learning to solve the problem. Students learn to break out of their comfort zone in their pursuit of excellence. While the projects generally focus on answering a guiding question or topic, students have no limits to show off what they have learned. Whether it be writing a novel or building a greenhouse, personal skills and passions come alive every day. Arête is focused on enhancing student values and achieving excellence as this program is designed for students of all learning abilities. Are you now willing to face off against William Shakespeare or leave your mark in the community? If so, go with your gut instinct. Go with Arête.
How does ARETE compare to traditional classroom learning?
