Content: This course provides a comprehensive study of the principles, practices, and problems of the American political system. It examines the workings of our local, state, and national governments and seeks to provide students opportunities to learn and practice skills needed to participate effectively in political decision-making. The rights and responsibilities of adulthood are surveyed. Current events will also be integrated into this course.
Activities: Lectures, guest speakers, small-group discussions, readings, abstracts, case studies, and problem-solving.
