Content: Understanding and managing personal business finances is key to one's future financial success. This course will inform students how individual choices directly influence occupational goals and future earnings potential. Real world topics covered will include income, money management, spending and credit, as well as saving and investing. Students will design personal and household budgets utilizing checking and saving accounts, gain knowledge in business finance, debt and credit management, and evaluate and understand insurance and taxes. This course will provide a foundational understanding for making informed personal financial decisions leading to financial independence. Students will also learn to apply decision-making skills to evaluate career choices and set personal goals. This course content is designed to help the learner make wise spending, saving, and credit decisions and to make effective use of income to achieve personal financial success.
