Course Content: Accounting plays a vital role in the day-to-day activities of every business. In this course, students will learn what opportunities are available in the business world for accountants and how to prepare financial reports manually and electronically through accounting software. Students will also learn how to interpret reports and how to make business decisions based on financial information.
Course Activities: Individualized and group instruction, guest speakers, use of small business accounting software including multimedia tutorials, spreadsheet applications, online vocabulary games and quizzes, workbook assignments, and a business simulation.
