Course Content: This course is a semester-long advanced art course consisting primarily of two-dimensional work in drawing with various materials, painting in acrylic and mixed media work. Some online work and instruction will be introduced and some outside of class sketchbook assignments will be required.
Course Activities: Studio artwork. Student work may also be displayed at our K-12 Spring District Art Show. Students may also have the opportunity to participate in field trips throughout the semester. Field trip experiences have included trips to the Art Institute of Chicago, the Milwaukee Art Center, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Oshkosh, and the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum.
Student Cost: a $20 lab fee covers paints, brushes, drawing supplies, paper, and canvases.
