Required for any Business, Management, and Administration pathway within the NHS Business and Information Technology Academy.
Course Content: This course is designed to introduce students to the world of business. Students will learn business concepts and skills about the following: What are Business, Entrepreneurship, Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Business Finance, the NHS Business Academy process and careers. A mini-business simulation also takes place where students are the managers of their own business and the classroom is turned into a business community. Junior Achievement will also be integrated through the Titan Business Challenge simulation using a volunteer from our business community. Students will learn the importance of business through the incorporation of 21st Century Skills and the relevancy of how business plays into their world.
Course Activities: Class exercises, career cluster project, and a business simulation.
