- The class is designed especially for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (High Functioning Autism and Asperger's Syndrome).
Content: IEP Team Assessment - Student Self Assessment
- Personalized Goals - Progress Check and Reporting - Project Based Learning.
Skill Lessons: non-verbal cues/body language. Emotions:dealing with anger, frustration and anxiety. Conversation skills: building and maintaining friendships, dealing with school & family demands.
Employment skills: money matters, life skills, emergency planning, transportation and dating.
Activities: weekly lesson, textbook/workbook assignments, community outings for skill generalization, collaboration with outside agencies involved with students.
