This is Sal's third year in high school and their second year as a journalism student. They are a junior at David Douglas High School.  They are 17 years old,  and is so far doing rather well in all of their classes. They enjoy plenty of things, such as watching anime, writing stories, reading books, and cosplaying on Tiktok. They joined the class of Journalism because they wanted to be able to express their creativity as a writer, and has wanted to write for a school newspaper (such as The Highlander) since they were in elementary school.  Sal is starting their first year working with the newspaper, but they are very excited to get to know everyone around the school. Their favorite foods are ramen and sushi, but she likes other things as well.  Their favorite Youtubers are Markiplier and Jacksepticeye, two well-known influencers across the internet.   When it comes to their writing, they always make sure its full of expression and voice.  They are determined to make sure The Highlander is enjoyable to read this year, and to make sure everyone is happy with themselves as well.
