Students and staff gather for awe inspiring assembly to celebrate the winter season, listen to powerful voices, watch a cheer vs teachers dance off, listen to the Troubadours accompanied by ASL Students, and finally find out about our Scots Angel.

Students entered the gym at 9:16 am and sorted themselves into their grade level seating. The Grinch and the Scots mascot welcomed in the crowd along with the cheerleaders. The scot was giving out candy canes to the people in the junior section. Assistant priceable, Jennifer Buscher, got the crowd going by seeing which grade level could cheer the loudest. ASB President, Dora Hussein and Senior Class President , Paris Tausinga led the assembly with pride and enthusiasm.

Then welcomed onto stage were the Troubadours and ASL Students. They performed the national anthem. T-shirts were tossed into the crowd using a giant bungie launcher. Three  students from Indigenous Student Union Students, Taima Willeto, Kenai Roberson, and Aubree    read a poem about their culture.  Teachers were challenged  to eat spicy foods to raise money, Cheerleaders chose a teacher to choreograph a dance that then led to a dance off.  The winner was picked by crowd cheers, the winner was the teachers. Finally, they announced the Scots Angel, Wesley Strobel with a moving speech by Athletic Director Brad Joy that left many in tears.
