Scots Shop boosting school spirit while setting fashion trends

The Scots Shop is David Douglas merchandise that offers numerous varieties of clothing with different styles and designs for students.

Different clothing styles include t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, hooded sweatshirts, normal sweatshirts, and hats. Every year, the Scots Shop offers different designs providing students with varieties to choose from to keep themselves warm during the colder months and comfortable during warmer weather. 

Student Council members are each in charge of different things that are in support of the student body. There is a specific group of students in charge of the Scots Shop. They are responsible for selling and designing clothing. Student Council advisor Kelsey Stiff can help students with more information and questions about the Scots Shop. 

There have been opportunities in the past that have let any wanting students of the student body to design merchandise. It is free and it allows students to be creative and share their designs with other students. When other opportunities like that come along the Scots Shop team will make sure to let students know.

The Scots Shop is open every Wednesday during both early and late lunch. The prices are often pretty affordable according to the material. Many times the Scots Shop has also been able to offer discounts and sell for less that students can take advantage of.

The Scots Shop is also interested in students who want to model their merchandise and have a chance to be featured on their instagram. Applications are in their instagram description.

There are many benefits to the high school for having and selling merchandise. It helps build a community and by doing that it encourages other students to come together and connect. In other instances, merchandise aso offers students a theme and a great time at football games. It shows school spirit and pride that also helps students come together. For students who are nearly graduates, merchandise is something that they hold dearly to their heart. Once they graduate they can remember all the memories and it offers them a way to store those memories forever. School merchandise also advertises and for those who wear it in public, they can be an example for those around them that will paint their school in a good light.

Students who are interested in being part of the Scots Shop team can work their way into student council and eventually be part of the team. It’s a great opportunity to be involved and create a community within.
