Jonothan Nguyen went undefeated to become District Champ

Boys' golf finishes season fourth in districts

The biggest challenge for the season has been, “Finding out how to unlock a relaxed and confident mindset with the golfers, where they are competitive but not in their own heads,” said coach Satterthwaite.

Boys' tennis edges out a tiebreaker against the Cavaliers

The Scots had a strong start with their singles when senior Jonathon Nguyen won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1. The second singles senior, Kevin Le, also won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. Then junior Brandon Chu also won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.

Girls' swim team finishes 8-0, boys finish 7-1

Scots' third quarter comeback comes up short

"We have a group of guys that continue to show up and work on getting better. Although our league record is not what we want it to be, these guys continue to impress me with the way that they compete. We were short-handed against Clackamas which gave some guys the chance to step up and I was pleased with our effort."

Scots crush Raiders, 66-37

With 52 rebounds, 17 assists, 12 steals, and four blocks, the Scots took charge, dominated, and finished the game against the Raiders at home.

Girls' basketball comes home with road win over Gresham

Team chemistry and various steals and fastbreaks allowed the girls’ basketball team to defeat the Gophers at Gresham High School, 57-47, on Jan. 13.

Boys' swim team sinks Raiders, 131-35

The team left the Reynolds shipwrecked on Jan. 5, ending with a similar record from there previous meet.

Boys follow up Jamboree with 3-1 record

Although the boys’ basketball team lost 19-18 to the Sunset Apollos, they persevered and won the first game, 27-13, of the home Jamboree against the Lakeridge Pacers on Nov. 30.

Girls' basketball cannot overcome Franklin's smothering defense

Smothering defense, among other factors, from the Franklin Lightning caused the Lady Scots Basketball Team to lose on Dec. 9, 53-15.

Boys' swim team defeats Rams, 132-38

The boys swim team swam triumphantly against Central Catholic at home on Dec. 1, defeating the Rams 132-38, and several Scots set new personal records, or PRs.

Bruins host 5,000 cross country meet

Senior Charlie Nolan (left) came in third place at 18:07. He started out at a smooth but punishing 5:50 mile pace and held his spot the whole time, making him the fastest Scots finisher of the day with a half-second personal record (PR) for his senior season 5K debut.

“This year's varsity team bonded quickly and always brings positive energy to the court. They have persevered through some tough matches in order to come from behind and get the win. A highlight so far has been their win against Clackamas. This is the first time we have beaten Clackamas since they joined our league. Reynolds is always a fun opponent to go up against. Like us, they have a lot of energy on the court so it will come down to who shows up ready to compete.”

Injuries factor into Clackamas defeat

2022 graduate Julie Schwam signed her commitment on April 20 to go to college at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
