It's never too late for a Disney trip

The last trip I took was in 2019. I went to Dubai with my mom and brother. We had not seen my dad for about three years at that point because he was in Egypt waiting for his immigration paperwork to process. Legally, we couldn’t visit him in Egypt, and he was not yet allowed to move to the US. Dubai was our middle ground. It was a really fun two weeks trip. I haven’t been outside of the US since. I also haven’t had the opportunity to explore anywhere in the US other than Oregon, since moving here.

This February I will go on a school trip to DisneyLand! I didn’t know Disneyland or disney world were a thing till I moved here. Do I wish I had the opportunity to experience things like this as a child? Yes, but I have the chance to do it now, so I am extremely excited for this trip. I am excited to be at a new state, new place, the plane ride, spending nights at a hotel, and the fantasy of being at Disneyland.

I am a big foodie! As odd as it may sound, that is one of the things I can’t wait to try at the “happiest place on earth”. When it comes to savory foods, I will have to try the famous turkey leg, corn dogs, fried pickles, bao buns, and a bacon mac and cheese filled cone. When it comes to the sweet treats, options are too many to count, but I want to try the pineapple dole whip, churros, mickey-shaped pretzels, churro toffee, mickey beignets, a towering milkshake and more! Fine dining is also available and I will be ready to spend some money on an upscale dinner at Napa Rose, the Lobster Nachos at Lamplight Lounge, or a Monte Cristo at the Blue Bayou Restaurant.

I don’t know if I have it in me to go on any rides after all this food, but when I do, I will be going on the Indiana Jones Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Splash Mountain. Afterwards, I will have to splurge at the gift shop and get a pair of the must-have mickey ears. I will also grab a few souvenirs for my friends and family, whether it’s disney themed mugs, stuffed animals, or clothes, I am sure they will love it.
