Queen is often overlooked as any old commercial band

"Queen is without question, one of the best bands in the whole world. Their most popular songs are sometimes the only songs that fans listen to, which should definitely not be the case."

The infamous band Queen, is often overlooked by people as any old commercial band.

Though it may come as a shock to all, the band has more hits other than Bohemian Rhapsody and Another One Bites the Dust. Queen is mostly known for their most famous tunes while their underrated songs go easily forgotten about. Freddie Mercury’s capability of hitting difficult, impressive, and downright gorgeous notes in such breathtaking arrangements alongside his spunky and wild personality is what made him the star he still is today.

Though Mercury is an obvious legend, the rest of the bandmates need just as much recognition. Brian May’s unbeatable guitar playing, John Deacon’s impeccable groove on his bass, and Roger Taylor’s killer drumming skills. Queen is without question, one of the best bands in the whole world. Their most popular songs are sometimes the only songs that fans listen to, which should definitely not be the case. The band has previously produced a funky and upbeat ‘80s album called Hot Space in 1982 which also happens to surprisingly be one of their least popular albums. One thing Queen makes sure they never leave out that most bands do is Deacon’s incredible sound on the bass. His bass brings the whole ‘80s feel to it and is the highlighted rhythm of the album. My personal favorites on that album are Back Chat, Cool Cat, and Body Language. The songs are bound to get stuck to listeners' brains for days.

Through their music, Mercury’s sass and powerful persona strikes through the listeners' radios. Queen were definitely the queens of dubbing in their songs. Dubbing is where vocalists take their vocals and add more of their vocals on top of it, causing a dramatic harmony with themself. Dubbing was constantly used back in the day. It takes the listener straight into the ‘80s and makes them want to get up and dance. Another album I wholeheartedly recommend is the album Sheer Heart Attack. This album has a more rock feel in it, and contains the iconic radio tune Killer Queen. In this album, Queen originally released the popular song Stone Cold Crazy that was featured in the movie Cruella, and even covered by the band Metallica. Though the Metallica version is worth a listen, nobody could ever do it like Queen did. These albums prove Queen’s ability to travel different routes and experiment with their sound and still be able to make incredible songs.
