In modern america economic inequality has never been higher and that is entirely because of our extremely high privatization is key parts of our economy.

For those who don’t know what privatization is it just means that it just means that it’s something not owned by the government it’s privately owned and independently funded. A good example would be schools some schools are paid for by government money and managed by local governments and others are privately owned and funded.

In America many of our most essential needs are privatized housing, healthcare, energy, construction, and many other essential industries are all have a higher rate of privatized ownership. The reason why this is bad is because these industries are all essential for the country to run at it’s best but these companies don’t have the best interests of the country in mind they all work towards something else which can cause them to actively choose worse turnouts for the people they serve, profit is what i’m talking about it is the single thing that every company in america is single handedly chasing after and they will almost always choose the option that gives them more generous profits than what gives the country more benefits.

The solution to this is the government which serves the publics interests to have more control over these key industries, for example imagine if instead of being stressed out about paying rent which your landlord just raised for the fifth time this year your rent was set to a percentage of your income that still allowed you to live comfortably and enjoy the commodities in life.

At the end of the day I’m not saying that every industry should be run by the government i’m just saying that I trust people whose interests align with mine more than rich people who could give less of a crap about my economic outcome.
