Access to Schools and Directory Information by Recruiters

Windsor Locks High School shall provide the same directory information and on-campus recruiting opportunities to representatives of the armed forces of the United States of America as are offered to non-military recruiters including institutes of higher learning, and to recruiters representing commercial concerns. The Principal at Windsor Locks High School shall establish procedures to review and process all requests for directory information and recruitment opportunities.

Basic directory information is the minimum personal data required for the operation of the school system, specifically the student name and address. Because telephone numbers are sometimes private or unlisted, they are not considered part of the basic directory information but shall be treated as education, health, and classified records.

The release of education, health, and classified records shall be made only upon written authorization of the parent/guardian or adult student.
