Causes of death
As adults, they have no known predators but as babies, birds, dingoes and other snakes prey on them
They don't necessarily die during sexual competition but snakes may get injured or killed (rare) during combat with other males
They can be susceptible to diseases and infections but it's not common
Primary death is predation when there young, habitat loss is second

Males compete with each other for access to females during mating season
