Habitat: The long tail weasel prefers woodlands, thickets, open farmland, or any place near a water source. It likes this habitat because it is where the majority of its prey (small animals like mice and voles) lives.

General Description: Long, slender body and head and cinnamon brown with white patches. In the north they turn white.
Diet:
Long tailed weasels eat birds, earthwroms, frogs, crayfish, snakes, fruits and berries.
Long tailed weasels hunt their prey by finding their scent or listening for sound. They will follow their prey and make a quick attack. Long tailed weasels will bite their prey at the base of their skull.
