Reproduction

There is not a specific time of year that the frilled shark mate. They are deep enough in the ocean that changes in seasons do not affect them. Frilled sharks can have between 2-15 pups at a time. The frilled shark has a gestation period of up to 3.5 years the longest among any animal living today.
