Description: Stocky, flattened body with short and strong legs, long claws on the front feet for both digging and defense

Key Features: sharp claws and large feet alllow for the honey badger to climb trees, dig  and swim very well

Size: Head and body comine for 2.1-2.4 feet. The tail adds another half a foot or more on some individuals

Weight: Females weigh around 13.5 pounds while males can easily exceed twenty pounds

Life Span: 7-8 years in the wild but up to 25 in captivity

Males vs. Females

• Males can be nearly double the size of females. Other than that male and female honey badgers are identical they only differ in size.
