Description: Stocky, flattened body with short and strong legs, long claws on the front feet for both digging and defense
Key Features: sharp claws and large feet alllow for the honey badger to climb trees, digĀ and swim very well
Size: Head and body comine for 2.1-2.4 feet. The tail adds another half a foot or more on some individuals
Weight: Females weigh around 13.5 pounds while males can easily exceed twenty pounds
Life Span: 7-8 years in the wild but up to 25 in captivity
Males vs. Females
Males can be nearly double the size of females. Other than that male and female honey badgers are identical they only differ in size.
