Habitat
Yellow baboons inhabit savannas and light forests in eastern Africa, from Kenya and Tanzania to Zimbabwe and Botswana. The savanna is also home to much larger animals such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinoceroses, buffalo, lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
The yellow baboon is not invasive.
Diet
The yellow baboons diet consists of pods, grass, fruit, seeds, roots, leaves, flowers, buds, insects and sometimes meat. When in need for some bugs, baboons will search in dead trees or under small rocks and other cover on the ground for larva. A yellow baboons daily intake is 51 kcal per kg of body weight.
