Phycical Traits-Small, compact deer, pale fawn with large rounded ears and conspicuous button-black eyes. The males have no antlers, but have long tusk-like canines. Slightly taller, and much paler.

Predation- The main predators of Chinese water deer are humans, leopards, foxes, bears, and raccoon dogs.
Sexual Competition- Females tend to choose the males with bigger tusks/fangs
