Description of the Habitat
How much rainfall: Between 1,500 mm and 3,000 mm.
Plants: Myrtle, laurel, palm, and acacia, as well as rosewood, Brazil nut, and rubber tree
Animals: Jaguars, harpy eagles, and pink river dolphins, and it is home to sloths, black spider monkeys, and poison dart frogs
Temperature: The climate of the Amazon remains tropical and hot throughout all 365 days of the year. The average annual temperature is around 80 degrees Fahrenheit but can vary between months
Terrain: They make their home and living in forest trees or bamboo thickets near or alongside rivers and floodplains. Pygmy marmosets prefer living in dense rainforests where there are lots of hiding places among the plants.

Continents found: South America
Invasive at all: Not the Pygmy Marmoset, but other Marmosets such as Callithrix jacchus and C. penicillata have become invasive in the Atlantic Forest, outside their native range.
Diet
What exactly does it eat: They can collect and eat the gum the tree produces. They also eat flower nectar, fruit, grubs and spiders. The majority of their diet consists of plant exudates, in other words, tree sap, tree gum, and latex.
How often does it eat: They feed in the early morning and early afternoon.
How does it get its food: Pygmy marmosets have certain trees they like within their territory; they can make up to 1,300 holes in each tree! Sometimes they lie in wait for insects, especially butterflies, which feed at the sap holes. The marmosets also eat some nectar and fruit.
