Jackalope Habitat and Diet

Habitat

• Jackalopes live in semi-arid regions with rainfails between 10-40 cm annually

• The main plants found in their habitat are prickly pear, saguro cactus and tumbleweed

• Temperatures range from a high of 95 degrees during the day to 45 degrees at night.  Winters are slightly cooler

• They prefer open terrain with rocks and cliffs with places for them to hide.

Distribution

• They are found in North American, mainly soutwest us and Northern Mexico

• Jackalopes are not considered invasive at all
