Figures of Interest: Killashandra is a female elven mage who contacted Kibbles about her use of Vilya in 1162. The Tower Lord, aka The Grey Lord, rules as a benevolent monarch; he is about 1800 years old. He is also called the Father. He disappeared for two years, during the Judgement War, but returned later. More recent interactions with him have showed a less pleasant side.
General Notes: The Towers of the Sky is an elven city-state. Outside of the towers area, there are no significant structures, but the forest area around the city is ruled by the elves, and patrolled by them.
The towers themselves consist of a ring of towers surrounding on much taller tower. They have a strong magical aspect to their construction, as normally a stone construction could not be made as tall as they are. Legend has it that the towers were built by, or with the aid of, Corellan Larethian. The towers are constructed entirely of pink, blue and yellow marble. The central tower is yellow marble, is 420' tall, is dedicated to Corellan, and is about three thousand years old. The six towers of the inner ring are blue marble, are three hundred feel tall, and are about two thousand years old. They are dedicated to Rallifane, Erevan, Solonor, Freya, Frey and Aerdrie. The outer ring of 12 towers is made from pink marble, they are 200' tall, and are about five hundred years old. They are dedicated to Apollo, Ki, Diancecht, Labelas, Meilikki, Pan, Ukko, Artemis, Silvanus, Hanali, Uller, and Enki. Each tower has a temple on the top story. The temples dedicated to now-deceased gods no longer hold services, but they do still hold sacred objects and priests who served those gods while they lived.
Medium sized tower temples -
Erevan - living, about 9000 worshipers.
Freya - living, about 7000 worshipers.
Frey - living, about 7000 worshipers.
Small sized tower temples -
Ki - living, about 1900 worshipers.
Diancecht - living, about 3600 worshipers.
Artemis - living, about 6500 worshipers.
Silvanus - living, about 1000 worshipers.
Each tower has a central open shaft with a permanent spell; stepping into the shaft allows one to rise up or descend to other levels. There is a mechanical elevator system also. The grounds around the towers are heavily grown with shrubs, small trees, and flowers.
The Wizard's School here will train only good-aligned elves and half-elves, or sometimes good characters of other races who worship one of the gods of the towers.
The alchemist inhabits a Sidhe, a hidden mound that cannot be found if he does not wish it. He will deal only with good elves and half-elves.
There are elven armorers of greater than twentieth level of skill, and many in the teens and lower. They will work for any creature that is allowed into the towers, though they charge a premium over normal prices, depending on how far from good aligned one is.
The area around the towers is magically managed to produce a large quantity of fruits, vegetables and grains, in small plots and disordered groves that are hard to spot. In addition, all predators have been removed from the hex with a very gentle enchantment that makes them unable to find food and feel a desire to move away; this has resulted in a large population of deer and such, which are hunted for food and are plentiful enough to easily supply all the meat needed by the population of the city-state.
