Figures of Interest: Iulo is a ninth level half‑elf fighter. He is Neutral, but has a mean disposition. He has a stone giant that he befriended in his earlier days that serves as his personal bodyguard. The local militia are barbarians.
Notes and History: Vilark is located on an island off the northern coast. Vilark was an old ruin when Iulo and his ships of barbarian followers found it in 1080. They settled there and he, the former captain‑general, became the leader. He has outlived all but the youngest original settler, and, being a half‑elf (the only such on the island) has retained his youthfulness while the others grew old and died; thus, the superstitious barbarians regard him as some sort of demigod. He is clever and canny and usually finds some way to get rid of troublemakers without killing them; at least, without killing them himself.
