This kingdom is essentially a military encampment. They sometimes launch attacks against Cyladia. The country is southern enough so they cannot grow enough food to feed the population, but they do have mines of various industrial and semi-precious metals (such as jade), which they trade to Macedonia for food and needed items.
The spine of Spartas is mountains, mostly along the southern coast. The northern part of the country is mostly low hills or clear, with a little forest.
They are ruled by a military governor named Xanthos, and movement is tightly controlled. Virtually the entire population is either military or supports the military, directly or indirectly.
