Notes: Hundreds of years ago, this country dominated a much larger portion of the continent; as humans became more and more numerous, they took over large swathes of land and eventually split off into their own countries. As Skaland was almost continuously in some form of conflict the the elven kingdom of Ranoas, they were unable to prevent these rebellions from succeeding.
This country, or a form of it, was first settled in the fourth age by Celtic humans. They sent out settlers to numerous other places, and eventually most of the humans left, and dwarves took the land over.
Sometime during the sixth age, a group of explorers, seeking new wealth, sailed from Skaland, and spent decades traveling around Attellaria, eventually settling in Hurin.
In early 1165, a hidden Tiamat temple here was destroyed by agents of the king of Attellaria. It is believed that the locals turned a blind eye to this as it occurred.
