Centaria - this is the continent to the east of Pendria; it was once dominated by a very large Elven kingdom (Ranoas), and a very large Dwarven kingdom (Skaland). These two kingdoms are currently at peace, but have warred a number of times over the centuries. They are much smaller today then they were centuries ago; Ranoas used to include the lands now known as Goran, Insaria, Marajal, Dorwinion and Orn; Skaland included Graiwinor, Jastur, Alkyra and Litrha. They fought over the lands now known as Sardaukar and Arlarion.
The countries were formed over the centuries as a human population migrated from the east, bringing with it religions unknown to the dwarves and elves. The Norse religion gradually took over most of the northern part of the land, the Central American religion took over most of the middle, and the Finnish took over most of the south. The Egyptian religion took hold in one area (Helghan), but withered elsewhere. The Norse countries conquered and colonized with great speed, sending large numbers of people west to Folaria and Attellaria around 500 EA, Lyda around 600 EA, Tharia around 670 EA, and Larn around 700 EA. Sardaukar colonists brought their Central American faith to the southern islands around 660 EA. Graiwinor peoples sent colonists to Tunnunga around 820 EA, and Lota about 720 EA; much earlier peoples from Islin had brought their faith north from that country to Graiwinor around 640 EA. Xapur sent colonists west to look for new land, and they settled on Lyda around 680 EA. The breeding rate of humans has proved to be just too fast for dwarves and elves to keep up with, and their empires have shrunk to a tiny fraction of their size at the beginning of the eighth age.
In the south, settlers from far to the east took over the land now known as Dorwinion in 193 EA, spreading to Orn in 240 EA, Marajal in 302 EA, Engleor in 423 EA, and Xapur in 511. By then, all the other nearby lands had been settled, so a final group of colonists was sent west, and settled in Lyda in 680; this group was not very successful in the long run, and is now greatly outnumbered by the Celtic population in Lyda.
