Figures of Interest: Muria is a retired cleric of Frigga. She was born in 1107, and retired in 1144. She is bored with her lifestyle, has never married. Her people are happy and lightly taxed, as Muria could live in luxury for the rest of her life on the loot she acquired as an adventurer. She is reputed to be personally responsible for slaying two of Tiamat's handmaidens, and battled Lolth's servants for years until the spider goddess lost all interest in Southern Attellaria.
Notes and History: Toria is ruled by the ranking native cleric of the Norse religions. The city is protected by a small, elite army of mercenaries; local warriors are absorbed into it and become mercenaries serving their home nation. The city walls are protected by many powerful glyphs, among them being a glyph that sets off a blade barrier, a glyph that buries the victim, and many others, some of which defy detection by normal means. A group of forty or fifty hippogriffs circle around the city invisibly watching for threats. This small town lies on Toria Island, in a small bay on the southwest coast of Attellaria. The town has declined offers to become part of Attellaria, but relations between the two are otherwise good.
