Temple - the only real temple is a Frigga temple, which is staffed by one fairly high level priest named Dulan, and several low levels ones. Otherwise, there are a number of zero-level priests professing to represent various deities in the town.
This city is built on a mine, from which flows an array of different deep-earth gems and large quantities of silver. The coastline is an old volcanic flow, which probably brought the ore up from deep underground. It is not uncommon for criminals to be sentenced to work in the mines, a sentence which few survive.
The town is ruled by a family of minor nobles, the Canighans. The current head of the family is a young man; his father died in his mid forties in 1166 in a mining accident. Each part of the government is generally run by a Canighan, or a cousin from the Thanins or Brans, relatives of theirs.
Despite this being the capital city (more of a town), the actual ruler of the country is a warlord named Smaua, who lives in the castle of the same name.
The layout of the mine - a double-door barred gate, which is locked at night; a 10' wide tunnel about 60' long that leads to a winch-operated elevator that can hold about three people at a time, down 80 to a north-south hallway. About 20' south of the landing, there are tunnels going east and west. All four directions branch often to follow the seams of silver and gems., and extend for hundreds of yards.
In July of 1167, a mage/priest named Castranes sent a cadre of ghosts and zombies to attack the town. They were driven off, but about 200 townspeople were killed, and at least three times that many were wounded or aged, or both.
