Notes and History: Atre is a border castle. Atre's walls stand 45' high, and are 15' thick at the base and 10' thick at the top. There are eight light catapaults, 14 ballistae, and 10 oil pots protecting the walls, which are battlemented and castellated. The keep is five stories high, the wall around it is 40 high and ten feet thick. It is protected with 8 oil pots and 400 large (head sized) throwing stones. Inhabitants besides Atre and the listed soldiers include 400 females and 500 or so children. Only the larges buildings are shown; scale on the hex map is 100' per hex (see book II).
