This border keep on the southern edge of Attellaria was built in around 1160.
Aianna Maygot is a female drow cleric of Surtur, formerly of some other deity that died in the Judgement War – which it was is forgotten. During that time Aianna’s fellow adventurer’s were led to believe she was male, as the mask and full body clothing needed for a drow in the wilderness concealed her gender. After adventuring for about two years, she accumulated enough funds to build a small keep on the southern edge of what was then the border of Attellaria. She has, since then, continued to build on the keep. As of 1166, it consists of an outer wall about 300’ on each side, with one large double gate, defenses on all the walls, and a large contingent of troops. The keep is surrounded by farmland, and there are several hundred farmers and other support businesses in the area around the keep, although there are no constructions closer than about a hundred feet, as the area all around the wall is lush gardens of shrubs and flowers. The original small keep was torn down in 1164 and replaced with a beautiful mansion all of grey stone, with a deep pillared porch and enormous glassed windows and doors.
She lives with a human man named Michael Curry, with whom she has a stormy relationship. They have one child, a very young daughter named Mona.
His troops have a reputation for being loyal, well equipped and well paid. The farms produce far more food than is needed, and the surplus is sold in Aertael, Caepal, and Port, in crops consisting of grains and vegetables. There is an apple orchard to the west side of the keep that produces a well known and very popular breed of apples, and a portion of each season’s crop goes to making a very well-known and expensive apple wine. North of the manor house, a small mining operation exists, with tunnels where miners bring up a fair amount of platinum ore, which is smelted at a local operation.
Some have wondered where this adventurer came upon the wealth needed to build this home, and the business expertise to oversee farms, an orchard, a mine and a company of soldiers, but no reports or rumors have explained it.
