Bio: It was your average day in the Mushroom Kingdom. Well, average when Princess Peach wasn't getting kidnapped anyway. Mario, savior of the Mushroom Kingdom, was relaxing with peace currently happening in the Mushroom Kingdom while his brother, Luigi, was enjoying the fact that there was no Bowser or King Boo to worry about. That changed, however, when a large portal opened in the sky above the house of the Mario Bros. and they were suddenly sucked up into it. When they came out the other side, they landed in the world of Death Battle, with powerful fighters teaming up. Since the two brothers were brought in this world together, and had shown great teamwork throughout their adventures, they decided that they were already a perfect team and vowed to find their way home together.
Intro: A large green pipe popped up out of the ground, and out of it hopped Mario, fist in the air with a "Wahoo!" he lands, looks to the opponent and says "It's-a me, Mario!" Another green pipe comes out of the ground and Luigi hops out with a "Yahoo!" landing next to his brother, stating "And Luigi." the two nod to each other, go back-to back simultaneously shouting "Super Mario Brothers!"
Of all of the characters in Tag Battle, Mario is easily the most well-rounded with a little more emphasis in strength over any of his other stats. Mario's an easy character for any player to pick up and play. That being said, being a jack-of-all-trades, he's also a master of none, so he doesn't really excel at much compared to other characters. But he's still a solid choice for any player of any playstyle
-Fireball: Mario flings a Fireball forward that bounces along the ground. Great for chip damage on an opponent
-Super Jump Punch: A simple uppercut that brings the enemy up in the air. It's great for helping with combo potential even if the enemy isn't launched too far up
-Cape Feather: Mario swings the Cape Feather in front of him. Very little range, but it too can be great for chip damage and assisting in combos. Can be used in the air. If timed perfectly, the attack can actually reflect projectiles
-Hammer Swing: Mario swings a hammer at the enemy. This can be used in the air, which can launch enemies downward and bounce them off the ground. If used on the ground, it can launch enemies either skyward or backward, though which it will do alters back and forth
-Shell Toss: Mario pulls out a blue-colored Koopa Shell and slings it at enemies. It can ricochet back if it hits them, but will fly off screen if it misses. If the shell comes back, Mario can smack the shell again with any of his attacks, causing the shell to do more damage.
-Mario uppercuts the opponent into the air before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a Starman. He crushes it in his hand, causing him to be surrounded in a rainbow aura while the invincibility theme plays over the music. Once the opponent hits the ground, Mario begins smacking them around with body checks and punches before grabbing them, spinning them around, and sending them flying away as the Starman's power wears off.

Luigi, much like Mario, is a well-rounded character, but while his brother emphasizes in strength, Luigi emphasizes in athleticism and speed. But just like his brother, Luigi's a master of none, so he doesn't excel at much compared to other playable characters. Once again, he's still a solid choice for any type of player from the aggressive to the escape artists
-Thunderhand: Luigi lets out a bolt of lightning from his hand about one quarter of the way of the maximum screen. Good distance and great for extending combos.
-Green Fireball: Luigi sends out a ball of fire that travels the same way as Mario's, but doesn't bounce along the ground. Just like Mario's it's great for chip damage.
-Green Missile: Luigi crouches for as long as the attack button is held down. Once it's released, or once the timer reaches its limit, Luigi launches himself forward in an electric aura, with the attack being faster and more powerful the longer the button is held. This attack is great for closing in on enemies, although they can jump over the attack if they time the move right.
-Luigi Cyclone: Luigi spins around in place, smacking the enemy multiple times before the last hit knocks them back. If used in the air, Luigi actually lifts himself and his opponent off the ground
-Hammer Swing: Luigi swings a hammer at the enemy. Like Mario's, this can be used in the air, which can launch enemies downward and bounce them off the ground, and if used on the ground, it can launch enemies either skyward or backward, though which it will do alters back and forth. Unlike Mario's, this attack does less damage while the enemy is sent a greater distance.
-Luigi will launch his enemies sky-high with a powerful Super Jump Punch. He then brings out the Poltergust 5000 and turns it on as the enemy comes down. When they get down far enough, Luigi will suck them up with the vacuum. Luigi then swings the poltergust around like an olympic hammer by the vacuum nozzle before slowing down, pressing the reverse function, and expelling the opponent outward.

-Mario sends the opponent flying into the air with a hammer swing. Luigi then hops into the air off of his brother's head and sends the enemy flying down with his own hammer swing. Once the enemy lands, Luigi begins spinning around in the air slowly as the area around the opponent turns into negative space, practically locking the opponent in place before Mario steps in, pulls his hands back, and then sends them flying foward, launching a massive blast of fire from both hands that engulfs the opponent and the area behind them. Luigi then lands next to his brother and gives him a high-five as the battle resumes.
(Mario and Luigi are walking around a grassy field, the two brothers looking around for any opponent. Mario seems perfectly calm, but Luigi is nervous. The two stop for a break)
Mario: This is taking a very long time. I wonder if the Princess is worried about us.
Luigi: Who knows if she got dragged into this world too. Maybe Bowser did as well. Or Wario and Waluigi. It makes me worried.
(Mario turns to face his brother)
Mario: Luigi, you need to have more faith in yourself. You always seem the most nervous whenever we go on an adventure
Luigi: I know. I sometimes wonder if I'm just holding you back. You're usually the one that gets all the credit and the fame, but I wonder if I'm just a liability.
Mario: Luigi, I may get a lot of the credit, but you shouldn't sell yourself so short. You've done a lot of great things to help out many people. And if there's anyone who I'd like to have my back in any situation, it's my brother.
Luigi: You really think so Mario?
Mario: Of course I do. You've even saved me a few times before. You don't hold me back at all. If anything, you're the biggest help in the toughest times.
Luigi: Thanks, Mario.
(The two then heard the sound of footsteps coming towards them quickly)
Luigi: What's that sound?
(They could see two blurs zip past them, one blue and the other black. The two blurs then came back and stopped in front of them. Luigi jumped, but Mario stood firm. In front were two humanoid hedgehogs, one in blue with slicked-back quills while the other black with red-streaked quils that pointed upward)
Sonic: Long time, no see, Plumbers. Glad to catch you two here
Mario: Same to you, Sonic. How about we have a rematch of the last fight we had.
Shadow: Hmph, you two honestly think you can keep up with both of us. Don't make me laugh. Especially you, scrawny.
(Luigi then stood tall)
Luigi: Mario, I think we can take them.
Mario: That's the spirit Luigi. Let's-a go!
(The two stood at the ready, prepared to fight. Sonic and Shadow looked at each other and nodded as they got into their own combat-ready stances. The screen splits to show both teams ready to go as we fade out)
With victory achieved once again at the hands of the Mario Bros., Mario and Luigi were able to return home. There, Princess Peach welcomed them back with a celebration of their return and victories, topped off with a large cake. The two brothers were celebrated throughout the party and even Luigi was glad to see that the people were celebrating his return. Everything was well...until Bowser came by to kidnap the Princess. It seems some things just never change.
