Title: The Next Blue Bomber

Bio: Created by Dr. Light to be a successor to the legendary Blue Bomber, X's power was to be tested based on his morality. To do this, Dr. Light sealed him away in containment unit only to be awakened when he felt his powers would be needed most. When X awoke thirty years later, the world was locked in war due to an uprising of rogue replicas of himself--the Reploids. Not willing to stand by and do nothing, X decided to take up arms and fight against both Mavericks and the insidious Sigma Virus for the freedom of the world.

Special Attacks:

-Buster Shot: X fires a single shot from his X-Buster. The shot can be charged up for a stronger, farther-traveling blast.

*Axe Chop: Follow-up to Buster Shot. After firing, X will jump towards the foe and strike them with an energy-laced, downward-punch.

-Sonic Slicer: X sends a crescent-shaped wave of energy up and at an angle. Useful for catching airborne foes, it can even bounce off the wall to hit from behind.

-Boomerang Cutter: X throws twin energy crescents that start out high in the air, then spin back towards him, hitting multiple times. X can throw up to two with proper combo moves.

-Rising Fire: X fires a combustible projectile at a steep angle. Upon hitting the ground or the opponent, the flame will rise up and remain for a few seconds before extinguishing.

-Frost Shield: Megaman fires a shot of ice that travels up in an arch, then shoots down at an angle. Enough hits can freeze an opponent temporarily.

Throws

FORWARD: X slams his X Buster into the opponent's gut, then shoots them away at point-blank.

BACKWARD: X backflips over the opponent and, in mid-fall, shoots them from behind with repeated shots from the X Buster.

Super Moves:

-Full-Charge Blaster: X takes aim with his X Buster and fires a concentrated shot of blue energy. While it travels slowly and is fairly-predictable, it has significant power behind it.

-Armor of Light: X changes armor and receives a significant upgrade in terms of firepower. Most of them gain an explosive boost to inflict more damage, others hit more times, and others still get an increase in effective range. Full-Charge Blaster also fires an extra blast in this state. This form lasts roughly 5-10 seconds.

-Ultimate Strike: X equips his strongest armor, then throws a punch at the opponent. If he connects, he will send them clean into the air, charge energy into his upgraded X Buster and fire a beam of amethyst energy at the opponent as they fall. After the move, X returns to his original state.

FATALITIES:

-X-Busted: X fires two Boomerang Cutters at the opponent, severing each of their arms, then fires a precise blast from his X Buster at their neck, blasting their head clean into the air. As the head flies through the air, X fires an Ice projectile at it, freezing it in midair. When the head hits the ground, it shatters like glass.

-Charge Treatment: X shoots the opponent three times, staggering them, then charges up his X Buster, jumps clean over them and fires straight down. The energy burst slams straight through their head and down their body, almost cutting them in half. X sticks his landing just as their headless body falls over.

Intro: X strides into the battle arena, nods in a firm manner, then takes aim with his X Buster.

Outro: X raises a fist in victory, then vanishes in a beam of blue light.

Prologue: After a brief uprising of Mavericks, X was perplexed at the singularities that were popping up across the planet. Reports indicated that several had fallen victim to a sort of gravitational pull, while others had no such effect and had merely drawn people in. X's own comrade, Zero, had fallen victim to one such hole and word was that Sigma had also ventured in. Not wanting Mavericks or the likes of Sigma to get away, and wanting to keep an eye on his friend and ally, X took up arms and ventured into the portals, ready to face the challenges of the world of Death Battle.

Rival Cutscene:

(In a great, futuristic city, a blue beam of light touches down on the ground. Megaman X materializes, his X Buster snapping up as he scans the area for potential threats. On seeing no immediate danger, he lowers his buster.)

X: No sign of danger. Let's try this again...

(X disappears in a column of blue light again, lands in the same place, then checks his surroundings to confirm that he hasn't moved an inch.)

X: I guess this world just wants me to stay here. (hefty sigh) Nothing stopping me from doing this, though.

(X takes off on a run through the futuristic city, hoping to find clues of any kind. After a minute or so, he makes a dash and a jump that carries him to an overhead bridge. He returns to his full height and is met with a surprise--a blue bomber with a head of brown hair and looked as surprised as he did.)

Both: Wha-?! Y-You!

(Both take aim with their respective busters until Volnutt heaves a sigh and lowers his weapon. X raises a brow in legitimate concern.)

X: Is something wrong?

Volnutt: I may have come this far, but I remember what happened last time I crossed paths with you and all the other Mega Men.

X: I do, too. But what does that have-

Volnutt: I just know how this ends, okay?! (sighs) I'm just not built as good as the rest of you...

X: Volnutt...

Volnutt: What're you waiting for? I know I'm the weakest Mega Man, so just...make it quick.

(X keeps his buster raised a little longer, then lets it fall to his side.)

X: So that's it? You're just going to give up and hope someone else fixes this mess?

Volnutt: What other choice do I have? Every other one is stronger, faster, and has better weapons. How can I compare?

X: DON'T SAY THAT!

(Volnutt's head snaps up in surprise.)

X: Even when the odds were against me, even when I thought I was done for, I kept fighting.

Volnutt: But I'm not you-

X: I know. And I don't care. You may be built different, you may lack a lot of the things the rest of us have, but you're still a Megaman variant. And the one thing we don't do in a fight is give up.

(Volnutt looks somewhat taken aback.)

X: You believed in something strongly enough to fight for it, but the moment the odds don't look good, you give up? When have you ever thought that was an option?!

(Volnutt looks lost in thought, so X presses a little further.)

X: I know I have every chance of falling in this "Death Battle", but that just drives me to fight harder and do my best to stay alive. And if I am going to die, I'd rather do it on my feet, head held high, and fighting with all I've got. (raises X Buster) At least that's how I'd do it. What about you?

(Volnutt stares at X, then his face actually turns to a confident smile.)

Volnutt: You're right. I've come this far for a reason, right? (puts on helmet) I'm gonna fight to the very end, no matter what. (raises his own Mega Buster) Let's go!

X: That's more like it.

(Both charge their respective Busters, but before they can fire, the screen fades to black.)

Ending: X was successful in defeating the Mastermind of Death Battle and returned to find that the Mavericks had returned in numbers greater than ever before, threatening the world with a planet-spanning war. Luckily for him, he had found backup. Other incarnations of Mega Man had come to join him in the war, not wanting to let their fellow Blue Bomber face them alone. Busters charged and ready to fire, the Mega Men would be quick to answer the call to duty.
