Bio: The culmination of a humble human being and the cells of a being called Jenova, Sephiroth was created in an attempt to lead the world to The Promised Land. While the Shinra Company waited to see if his "memories" would return, he was recruited into the SOLDIER military division and quickly became its top-ranked fighter. Everything changed when he went on a mission to Nibelheim and stumbled across a lab full of books on the project. The truth drove Sephiroth mad and he grew a taste for destruction, and a desire to finish what his "mother" started--the utter annihilation of all life.

Special Attacks:

-Fervent Blow: Sephiroth swings his sword and, from the arc, emits a tall, crescent-shaped projectile. Can be chained up to three times with well-timed button pressing.

-Oblivion: Sephiroth dashes at the opponent and, if he touches them, will appear behind them as multiple sword strikes cut them down.

-Dark Flare: Sephiroth puts a hand forward and two orbs of dark matter materialize in front and behind the opponent. Normally, they're stationary to act as a trap, but when the attack button is pressed twice, the orbs will converge on the opponent to burn them. They can be avoided by jumping.

-Octaslash: Sephiroth readies his blade, then swings eight times at the opponent with the final slash being able to push the opponent away.

-Hell's Gate: Midair move. Sephiroth dives straight down towards the ground, sword poised to stab whatever is beneath him.

-Scintilla: Sephiroth raises his sword to block and flashes briefly. If he's attacked, he will swing his sword and cause the opponent to crumple. This move requires precise timing to use and does not work against projectiles.

Throws

FORWARD: Sephiroth stabs the opponent with Masamune, then lets them crumple to the ground with a shake of his head.

BACKWARD: Sephiroth stabs the opponent, then lifts them off the ground and tosses them behind him.

Super Moves:

-Heartless Angel: Sephiroth hovers in the air and will gather energy in his palm. After a lengthy charge time, the energy will envelop the opponent and reduce the opponent to the lowest possible health they can reach. Sephiroth can move to avoid attacks, but if he's damaged, the attack will be canceled.

-Black Materia: Sephiroth uses a small, black sphere to call down a flaming meteorite. It can hit the opponent multiple times as it descends, and will explode on contact with the ground. It's inescapable, but becomes less harmful if its descent is avoided and the final explosion blocked.

-Super Nova: Sephiroth takes a single swing at the opponent and, if he connects, will slash them repeatedly with his Masamune. With one final slash, he sends the opponent rocketing backward, past meteorites, and into a fast-growing fireball akin to a sun. As the opponent disappears into the Blaze, Sephiroth turns to face the camera, flames roaring behind him.

FATALITIES:

-Heartstopper: Sephiroth springs high into the air and, just as the opponent comes to their senses, he plummets down and rams the tip of Masamune right through their chest. As the opponent gapes in pain and horror, Sephiroth pulls it out, then unleashes a flurry of slices (while only appearing to swing once). In a splash of blood, the opponent falls to pieces.

-Octaslash Fatal Ver.: Sephiroth readies Masamune, then swings eight times at the opponent. Each swipe takes off part of their body--arm, leg, torso, but the seventh one causes the head to flip into the air. The eighth and final swing slices the opponent's still-falling head in two, Sephiroth turning his back and delivering the cut without even looking back.

Intro: Black feathers slowly float down towards the ground as the camera pans up to reveal Sephiroth slowly hovering towards the ground. He touches down, gives the opponent a cold look and amused smile, then readies Masamune.

Outro: Flames light from the ground up, dancing all around Sephiroth, whose face forms a sick and cold smile. He then turns his back on the camera and walks off with a slow stride.

Prologue: In the depths of the Lifestream, a lone consciousness floated aimlessly through the river of life-energy. That consciousness belonged to the Harbinger of Death, the One-Winged Angel known to all as Sephiroth. After immeasurable time in a semi-conscious state, his mind and soul finally found a means of escape and to regain his physical form. Reincarnated in the world of Death Battle, Sephiroth's desire to attain godhood was thrown a wildcard. It was an opportunity he could not ignore.

Rival Cutscene:

(At the top of a vast, gloomy tower, Sephiroth stares at the tower off in the distance, his expression one of slight amusement.)

Sephiroth: There...the tower has what I seek.

(Suddenly, a vast demon with horns and fangs springs on top of the rooftop and roars its challenge at Sephiroth. Not long afterward, it stops. Its head hits the floor and the body falls off the ledge, plummeting all the way to the ground below. Sephiroth's sword is at a slight angle, but he hasn't even turned to face his would-be assailant.)

Sephiroth: And if all its obstacles are this weak, defeat is nothing to concern myself over.

????: You seem so sure of yourself.

(Sephiroth looks up, a slight grin forming on his face. He doesn't need to look back. He knows who it is. The camera pans slightly to the side to reveal none other than Vergil, Son of Sparda, standing right behind him.)

Sephiroth: I see your determination hasn't diminished. It seems not even death by my blade could hold you back.

Vergil: And I see you're as confident as ever.

Sephiroth: (turns to face Vergil) Do you desire power so much that you'll taste my steel again just to witness it?

Vergil: (grips Yamato's hilt) You'll die before your first stroke follows through.

Sephiroth: Quite the bold claim. Come and try, then, if you're that confident in your skill.

(Vergil's face twists into a scowl and, in a blur of blue, he vanishes. Sephiroth swiftly raises Masamune and meets Yamato with a flash of light and a clang of steel. What happens next is a deadly dance, Vergil swinging his blade with blinding speed and Sephiroth parrying with astonishing grace and precision. After an exchange, the two lock blades.)

Sephiroth: Is that it? I still live, don't I? And I haven't even struck back at you.

Vergil: I'm just getting started.

Sephiroth: Really? How interesting.

(Sephiroth pushes Vergil off, then swings his blade once. A multitude of slashes lash out at Vergil, who parries each one albeit with some difficulty. When all slashes are deflected, Sephiroth smiles cruelly.)

Sephiroth: That was my first swing. I don't think you've killed me.

Vergil: (through grit teeth) Don't. Mock. Me!!!

Sephiroth: Then show me the full extent of your power. Silence me with your blade, not your words.

Vergil: With pleasure.

(Both charge, blades poised to swing and time slowing when they get within striking distance. Fade to black.)

Ending: Sephiroth didn't just defeat the Mastermind of Death Battle. He ended his life swiftly and mercilessly. With such vast power at his disposal, Sephiroth had reached his goal of attaining godhood. With his newfound power, he set into motion his new plan--to use the world of Death Battle as his vessel and journey to other worlds, draining them of their life force and bonding its souls to his own. At his feet lay the countless corpses of those he had slain. Like Death itself, Sephiroth has no favorites.
