Bio: The odd jobs for hire shop known as "Devil May Cry" was known to take on some rather weird missions before, but when portals started opening up everywhere, someone naturally got curious and hired the man in charge of the shop who called himself Dante. Grabbing some of his favorite tools for the jobs he had done in the past, Dante made his way into the portals and discovered a world filled with people engaging in fighting. Ready to take on anyone and everyone if he needed to, and since it might be fun to get a few good fights in, he looked for an opponent who would be worth his time. The first one he saw also happened to be one who tried to kill him, a mercenary in black and red known as Deadpool. The two engaged in some gunplay and banter before they realized that the people around them were teaming up. Since there was no one else, the two mercenaries decided it would be best to work together, at least for now. So, off they went to make some poor saps sorry in the world of Death Battle
Intro: Deadpool and Dante walk onto the battlefield, Dante rolling up his sleeves and Deadpool slinging around his guns. "This oughta be a good match" Dante said before turning the Deadpool. "Yeah, but that's how you see all of these fights." Deadpool responded. "And besides, these games are never realistic to our actual abilities anyway. But it still should be fun" Deadpool then points both his guns at the camera. "Hey, camera! Move out of the way!"
Deadpool's moves are meant to be quick and hard to avoid if an opponent isn't paying attention, meaning he can easily rack-up combos on distracted opponents or opponents that aren't prepared. But his moves are also relatively easy to avoid, leaving him open to getting hit and hit hard
-Bang Bang Bang!: Deadpool pulls out a pair of submachine guns and fires them forward for as long as the attack button is held down. A good ranged attack and can be aimed upward, but Deadpool's SMGs only have so many bullets in a clip before he has to reload and the bullets can be easily blocked and reflected unless Deadpool can get a hit on them. (Aw dammit!) The guns reload automatically once the attack stops
-Slashy Slashy!: Deadpool pulls out his katanas and rapidly spins towards the enemy, slashing repeatedly at the opponent if they hit and trapping them until the attack is finished. However, an agile enough opponent can avoid the attack, which leaves Deadpool wide-open (Screw you too, man!)
-Over here buddy!: Deadpool is able to teleport (oh yeah, you've done a lot of those buddy. Seriously, get some new material) where he will attempt to telefrag the opponent. It's a quick, but weak attack, and can open up the opponent for combos. (Now that's what I'm talking about. Eat that, Raiden. I'll tell Thor you said hello, though he'll probably be confused about what I mean)
-The other kind of flashing: Deadpool throws a flashbang grenade at the opponent, which detonates on contact with them or the floor. If the opponent is on the ground near the flash, they will be stunned, but if they're in the air, they will fall to the ground, unable to get hit but unable to attack back. This is a good approach/set-up tool (Hey, let those professional fighting game players decide what these moves are good for. You can't even get into a tournament for Old Maid let alone a fighting game)
(wait, that's it? Only 4 moves? Okay, where does this guy live, because I'm going to go over there and kick his ass! Not kill him, he doesn't deserve that much, but I will kick his ass. How dare he only give me 4 moves? Oh, wait, I see another little line down there. Guess he thought up a fifth one. Ignore this little rant)
-Boom goes the Grenade: Deadpool rolls a frag grenade along the ground, which detonates after three seconds. It's a good trap move that works similarly to the flashbang attack, but damages the enemy. Enemies in the air will only receive damage, but enemies on the ground or directly above the grenade will be launched into the air
-Deadpool dashes past the opponent, slashing at them with his swords. If he lands a hit, he will then dash the opponent multiple times, causing bloody cut patterns to appear in the air around the opponent before turning around and pointing one of his pistols at the opponents eye. After warning the audience to look away if they're young or squeemish about violence, he then shoots the opponent in the face
VOICE ACTOR: Ryan Reynolds
Costume 1: Standard Appearance
Costume 2: Hey look, I'm an X-Man! (X-Men Outfit)
Costume 3: Seriously, why did you look like this? (DmC!Dante Appearance) (Wears DmC!Dante's outfit and has a black wig on his head even while masked)
Dante has the unique ability to switch between using his sword Rebellion and using his guns Ebony and Ivory in the middle of combat, thus making him capable of both close-range and long range attacks. This means that Dante can be tricky to counter as the opponent could switch at any time. However, once Dante switches, he's stuck in whatever combat style he switched to for a few seconds and cannot switch until said move cools down. Sword-Style is powerful and has lots of combo potential, but only has so much range while Gun Style has plenty of range and plenty of chip damage, but not much strength
-Style Change: Dante will shift from Sword Style to Gun Style and vice versa. As stated before, once he switches styles, he's stuck in that style until after a certain amount of time passes
Sword Style Moveset:
-Hellraiser: Dante will perform an uppercutting attack with his sword, launching the opponent into the air and leaving them susceptible to combos as a result. The range is moderately long for a melee attack
-Stabbing Piledrive: Dante will dash forward a short distance, sword extended tip-first. If he connects with the opponent, he will slam them over his head onto their head before withdrawing his sword from them. It's a decent approach move, but it's also rather short for an approaching move as a result of the blade's length
-Overhead Strike: Dante will move diagonally forward (either up if on the ground or down if in the air) and swing his sword down from over his head in an attempt to hit the opponent. This move is an effective anti-air technique as the range reaches around Dante and it can be used to bounce airborne opponents off the ground and extend combos as a result
-Rebel's Surprise: A counter move. Dante will hold his sword flat-sided in front of him. If an attack strikes the blade, Dante will kick in front of himself, which can bounce enemies off of the wall. If the attack is a ranged attack, it will simply do less damage to Dante as if he had used a regular block
Gun Style Moveset:
-Perfect Harmony: Dante will fire his guns repeatedly at the opponent. Unlike Deadpool's Bang Bang Bang! move (Oh hey, you remembered I'm part of this too), Dante will not be able to fire as many shots, and there's a slight delay between attacks, but the shots are far more powerful and can knock opponents backwards and off the wall of the arena. The guns also have a limited amount of ammo in them but will automatically reload after the attack finishes
-Bulletstorm: An Aerial-only attack, Dante will freeze in mid-air and fire bullets spread evenly amongst the battlefield. These attacks are just as strong as Perfect Harmony's attacks, but they also leave Dante wide-open as he can't cancel the attack any time he wants like with Perfect Harmony
-Action Shot: Dante will jump backwards, firing his guns at the opponent, giving him some distance. The attack isn't as powerful as Perfect Harmony, but it can be used as a getaway tool, as Dante will fall back quite a distance
-Pistol Whip: A counter move. Dante will cross his arms in front of himself. If he is attacked in this state, he will strike the opponent in front of him with the butt of both guns, which can stun them for a second and give Dante a chance to either attack or get away. If the opponent is far away, Dante will fire a single shot from each gun at them, doing light damage.
-Dante will slash at the opponent with his sword (regardless of which form he's in) and attempt to strike the opponent. If he hits, he'll put a slice of pizza in his mouth and begin striking them with several sword attacks all while jumping around and flipping. Several multiple-colored balls of energy will then rain down in front of Dante. Aiming at a white one with his gun, he'll fire a bullet, causing the balls to fly straight for the opponent at various different paths
VOICE ACTOR: Reuben Langdon
Costume 1: Devil May Cry 4 Appearance
Costume 2: Grandpa Dante (Devil May Cry 5 Appearance) (Devil Trigger has silver instead of red on Dante's body)
Costume 3: Taskmaster Dante (Changes Dante's clothes to that of Taskmaster (Marvel) though keeps the same hair and body shape)
-Deadpool begins the attack by throwing a flashbang at the opponent, stunning them. Dante then rushes down the opponent, slashing at them and creating comic-book style onomatopoeia of "Shing!" and "Schrik!" which Deadpool then collects. Then he jumps off the opponent, into the air, and begins firing Ebony and Ivory, creating both "Bang!" onomatopoeia from the guns and "Flirk!" from the bullets hitting the body, which Deadpool collects again. Deadpool then teleports to way above the opponent, where he takes the onomatopoeia he had been collecting and throws all of the words down onto the opponent at once like it was a giant boulder, crushing them
(Deadpool and Dante are walking through a slum-like part of a city, complete with things like burning cans for warmth, old and rusted down buildings that looked abandoned)
Deadpool: Jeez, I know that this place was abandoned, but this is ridiculous
Dante: Hey, I don't mind it. It kinda reminds me of my world. The whole "backwoods, dirt cheap" atmosphere would be a perfect place for another location for Devil May Cry.
Deadpool: Hey, buddy, save the references for some other crossover. Some of the players might not understand
Dante: What are you talking about?
Deadpool: Oh, don't worry about it. So...half-demon, huh?
Dante: Yeah. It's kind of a pain in the ass, but it helps when it comes to taking down some of the REALLY big threats that like to invade the mortal world just for fun
Deadpool: Can't say I blame you there. I mean, I still don't like what was done to me, but I don't let it bring me down, especially if it helps
Dante: You know Deadpool, you're a pretty cool guy
Deadpool: Aw, thanks
Dante: A little messed up in the head in places, but you're still not the worst person I could be stuck with
Deadpool: Gee, thanks for the compliment. Now, if I'm not mistaken, we should be meeting two new opponents in three, two, one
???: Hold it right there!
(A female voice shouts from behind the group)
Deadpool: Right on cue
(The two then turn around with their arms raised)
Deadpool: Now, let's see who the poor sap is that we gotta humina humina humina!
(The camera shows a woman in a light outfit with camouflage all over it. She walked closer to the two)
Sonya Blade: Figures we'd run into some lowlifes stalking around this place
Dante: Come on, lady, give us a break. We're just here to find the guy behind this, kick his ass, and then leave
Sonya: Yeah, sure, that's what your excuse is, but I ain't buying it
Deadpool: Listen, sweet thing, I'm sure you wanna get out of here like the rest of us, so if you're willing to, we can go our separate ways, deal with our problems, and then maybe hook up later
Sonya: Creeps like you gross me out. Bad enough I have to deal with Johnny's crap on a daily basis, but I don't need any more from you. And take off that stupid mask
Deadpool: Yeah, not really a good idea given what's under here
Sonya: Do it, creep!
???: These guys giving you trouble, Sonya?
(Walking up next to Sonya is a woman in an aqua blue tank top and khaki cargo shorts)
Deadpool: Wow, okay, your friend is pretty hot too
Lara Croft: Ugh, sick pervs like you are always trying to get in my pants. I think you've already seen enough
Dante: Deadpool, you're kind of making our situation worse. I'd rather get out of here without a fight if possible
Sonya: Your buddy here has the right idea. Keep your mouth shut and this will be over a lot sooner
Deadpool: Well jeez, someone's got a temper, doesn't she
Sonya: And take your damn mask off already
Deadpool: Listen, miss, I know you're tough, but I don't think you're going to like what you see under here
Sonya: I gave you an order, now do it!
Deadpool: You sure
Sonya: Now!
Deadpool: Alright, fine.
(Deadpool reaches for his mask and pulls it off, revealing his messed-up face that makes all three of the others reel back)
Lara: Dear god, what even are you!
Deadpool: I told you, but no one listens.
Sonya: Okay buddy, I'm going to have to take you back for questioning and just to figure out what the hell is wrong with your face
Deadpool: Sorry miss, but we've got a job to do, so unless you're willing to join-
(Lara then shoots Deadpool in the head with a pistol)
Dante: WHOA, what the hell was that!
Lara: Sorry, it's just that I couldn't stand looking at or hearing him anymore!
(Deadpool's head then repairs itself)
Deadpool: Okay, that was just rude, but if you're willing to play with guns
(Deadpool then quickly reaches for his guns and points them)
Deadpool: Then I'm willing to as well
(Sonya quickly disarms one gun by kicking it into the air and then rushes to punch Deadpool in the face before Dante blocks her punch with his own fist)
Dante: Alright, I guess we're going to have to fight then
(The two opponents jump away from each other, Deadpool putting his mask back on and catching his gun out of the air, Dante pulling out rebellion as a result before the screen fades to black)
With victory achieved, Deadpool and Dante (mostly me, narrator!) were able to finally return to their worlds. But with not much else to do for a job and with Dante thinking he could use some more help, Deadpool got hired by Dante to work for Devil May Cry (and damn, getting to be that close to Trish every day? I'll take it). Needless to say, Deadpool helped Dante out quite a lot, especially when Vergil came back. Needless to say, the two were just as formidable a team as they were back in the world of Death Battle (and hey, the money was good too. Of course, I also had plenty of stuff I could do back in my world that Dante could help with, but that's what happens when the portals are able to stay open. Plus there's all the help we gave to all the other worlds too, but-oh, I guess that's the end. Okay fine, fade to black while I'm still talking. If you'll excuse me I'm going to go find Trish and...)
