Bio: Leonardo was one of four baby turtles mutated by a strange ooze and raised by a warrior rat named "Splinter" in the art of ninjutsu. He is strong in both his body and his mind, followed the eight principles of bushido, and became both a powerful combatant and a brilliant tactician all so he could honor that very code. This combination of physical prowess and mental fortitude ultimately led to him being the leader of the team. In multiple timelines, he is ultimately the one who defeats the Turtles' archenemy, the Shredder.

Special Moves:

-Flurry Sword: By pressing an attack button repeatedly, Leo can unleash a flurry of quick slashes with his ninjaken.

-Glimmer Sword: Leo swings both swords at once to create an X-shaped energy wave. It's short-ranged, but hard to jump over and will inflict two hits on impact instead of one.

-Bushido Slicer: Leo hits low with his swords, then follows up with an uppercut and finally a broad slash that can knock back the opponent and wallbounce them at certain distances.

-Counter: Leo crosses his swords in an "X" shape and, if his enemy attacks, he will spin around them and slash them, knocking them back.

-Roto Blade: Leo leaps into the air, spinning vertically like a wheel with his swords outstretched. This can be used to cross distances and land multiple hits before Leo lands on the ground. In midair, the spin remains stationary and keeps him suspended in the air.

-Tornado Blade: Leo spins his body in a tight pirouette with his swords outstretched. If timed right, it will neutralize projectile attacks.

Throws

FORWARD: Leo hits the opponent in the midsection with the pommel of one sword, making them double over. He then performs a spinning backhand slash that knocks them to the ground.

BACKWARD: Leo springs on the opponent's shoulders, then jumps off to perform a downward-slash at their back, grounding them.

Super Moves:

-Sword of Tengu: Leo swaps his twin ninjaken for a strange and alien-looking katana. For a brief period of time, his attack strength, speed, and range increases, and he will hit twice for every one hit he lands as well as inflict lightning-damage.

-Healing Mantra: Leo forms a series of handsigns, then gains a golden glow as he slowly regains a fraction of his health.

-Turtle Power!!!: Leonardo gets a glint in his eye and he rushes the opponent with his swords swinging. If he lands, he will repeatedly slash the opponent a total of nine times, finishing with a diagonal slash that grounds his opponent.

FATALITIES:

-Slice 'Em Up!: Leo performs a V-shaped slash that removes the opponent's hands, leaving them with bloody stumps in their place. As the opponent stares in shock and agony, Leo performs a leaping spin-slash with his swords outstretched, causing the opponent's head to flip into the air. When Leo lands, the head lands too, followed shortly by the opponent's body.

-Leo the Impaler: Leo slashes the opponent's legs, causing them to fall on their knees, then stabs them through the chest before maneuvering around them and kicking them in the back. The opponent falls on their face, propped up by the swords, then slide down the length, the two blades protruding from their back.

Intro: A manhole cover shakes a few times, then flies off as Leonardo springs out. On landing, he draws his ninjaken swords and points the one in his right hand at his opponent.

Outro: Leo sheathes his swords, then gives a thumbs'-up before hopping down a manhole.

Prologue: After a scouting mission with his fellow Ninja Turtles, Leonardo reported to Master Splinter of strange activity in the alleyways of New York. These activities included odd portal-like anomalies dotting New York. Not wanting to risk danger to the city or the world itself, the Turtles went forth into a new world. What they didn't suspect, however, was that they ended up separated in the strange world of Death Battle.

Rival Cutscene:

(Leonardo slowly makes his way down a sewer pathway, somewhere between irritated and weary. He's clearly seen action, too.)

Leonardo: Man, everyone sure wants a piece of me, don't they? I'm either very good or very lucky to make it this far...

(Leo continues onward, then suddenly staggers back as the entire sewer seems to quake.)

Leo: What the shell was that?!

(The right wall just in front of him suddenly cracks as another tremor rocks the sewer. With one final quake, the wall explodes outward and Leo, following his instincts, leaps backward just as a giant fist slams onto the ground he was on moments ago.)

Leo: Oh no, that'd better not be who I think it is.

(The dust settles, revealing none other than the leader of the Battletoads, Zitz--the last face Leo wanted to see.)

Zitz: Well, well, I thought I heard familiar voices down here!

Leo: You again. (draws swords) Didn't you learn your lesson last time?

Zitz: I let my guard down once, turtle-boy, but that ain't happenin' again! (cracks knuckles) This time, I'm beatin' you to a pulp!

Leo: I guess there's no way around it. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is, froggy?

(Zitz is clearly offended as Leo draws his ninjaken with an audible "shing" sound, but he puts up his fists as he corrects him.)

Zitz: That's TOAD, numbskull!

(Zitz lunges and throws a punch at Leo, who nimbly evades it, then leaps backward over a sweeping knee...lined with a roaring chainsaw. Leo, in return, takes a swing with his ninjaken only to be met with goat-horns emerging from Zitz's head and a shower of sparks. As he puts distance between them again, the screen fades to black.)

Ending: Despite all odds, Leo emerged from the Death Battle tournament victorious. He returned home to New York with his brothers, resulting in Splinter's praise for handling the situation as a leader should. He gave his son and prized student the title of "Grandmaster Shinobi"--an honor that Leo accepted wholeheartedly. It would even be a first step towards peace and acceptance between man and mutant/mutagenic. Even Raph was impressed (though he would never say it out loud to Leo).
