Bio: Like his long-time rival, Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog needs little introduction. This blue-furred creature can run fast enough to break the sound barrier, has defeated enemies from his near-casual defeats of Dr. Eggman to entities that could warp time and space. With his speed, quick thinking and sheer dare, and his ability to tap into the legendary Chaos Emeralds, Sonic has proven his competence as a hero several times and shows no signs of slowing down either.

Special Attacks:

-Spin Dash: Sonic turns into a blue wheel and spins on the ground. Rapidly pressing the button charges up its strength, speed, and distance covered. When the button is released, Sonic will roll forward like a wheel to slam into his opponent.

-Homing Attack: Sonic jumps into the air, curls into a ball, then rushes at his opponent like a cannonball. Gives good room for follow-up attacks like axe-kicks, backflip kicks, and grabs.

-Blue Bounce: Sonic curls into a ball and spins similar to his Spin Dash, but rather than roll forward, Sonic will bounce into the air like a ball. He can either go straight up, go forward in an arc, or launch himself backward to bounce off the wall and launch himself at his enemy from there.

-Light Dash: Sonic runs forward or backward, leaving behind a blue light trail. Not necessarily an attack, but useful in either crossing distances or making retreats. Also, while performing this move, he can evade projectiles (this has to be timed right).

-Barrier: Sonic takes a small container out and busts it open. Depending on the emblem he gets, he will gain the following attributes. The shields will protect him from a few hits before dissipating.

*Normal Shield: a green sphere of energy engulfs Sonic and increases his defensive power.

*Fire Shield: Gives Sonic's attacks a fiery aura, increasing his attack strength. This also grants him immunity to fire-based attacks and projectiles.

*Bubble Shield: Reflects projectiles back at their owner, grants him immunity to water-based attacks, and increases Sonic's bounce attack.

*Electro Shield: Gives Sonic immunity to electricity and increases his jumping power, gives him a third jump, and his aerial attacks are amplified with electrical energy.

Throws

FORWARD: Sonic spirals around the opponent in Spindash form, damaging them four times, then kicks off them.

BACKWARD: Sonic takes hold of the enemy, then jumps back, spinning rapidly, to slam the opponent onto the ground.

Super Moves:

-Sonic Boom: Sonic charges his body with blue electricity, then curls up and spins to become an electric buzz-saw that spans the entire stage, hitting the opponent repeatedly and inflicting electrical damage.

-Super Sonic: A set of seven gems, the Chaos Emeralds, briefly encircles Sonic and turns him into the glowing, golden form of Super Sonic. For a brief period of time, Sonic's attacks are faster, stronger, and harder to evade. He is also invulnerable for this brief period.

-Blue Whirlwind: Sonic races in circles fast enough to create a tornado that sucks up his enemy as well as a few hunks of debris. Sonic then leaps up into the tornado and, using the debris as launch platforms, spin-dashes through his opponent repeatedly. He finishes it up by jumping above them and dropping down on them like a cannonball just as the tornado dissipates.

FATALITIES:

-Blue Buzz-Saw: Sonic dashes past the opponent a few times, then axe-kicks them to the ground before standing on top of them. He then begins to spin on top of them, becoming a buzz-saw that rips into their back until he leaves a massive hole in their back-one that's big enough to see right through to the floor under them.

-Sonic Cannon: Sonic spindashes in place, gathering momentum, then springs high into the air, still spinning. He lands right on top of the opponent's shoulder and begins to carve them right down the center, the opponent screaming all the way. When he finally lands on the ground, the opponent falls in half, leaving Sonic to brush blood off himself.

Intro: Sonic dashes by briefly, then comes back, screeches to a halt and gives a thumbs' up.

Outro: Sonic shakes his finger, then dashes off with a smile on his face.

Prologue: Sonic the Hedgehog was speeding through his world and dodging obstacles the whole way through. He had just come to a rendezvous point with some of his friends regarding Eggman's latest scheme, when he ran right through a portal that just suddenly appeared and gave him no time to stop. By the time he did grind to a halt, he was in unfamiliar territory. With a casual shrug, he concluded that since he found his way in by accident, he'd ultimately have to look for a way out.

Rival Cutscene:

(Sonic is speeding through a vast expanse of land, the wind blowing through his spines. A few obstacles, including a loop carved into stone, lie in his path, but Sonic effortlessly traverses them.)

Sonic: Whew! Gotta give this world credit where it's due--it's got plenty of open space to run around in! I don't know how this could get any better-

(He speeds by Mario, who yelps in surprise.)

Sonic: (grinds to a halt a good distance away) Whoa! Wasn't that the plumber I fought some time ago? Better check to see if he's still got it!

(Sonic races at Mario and aims to plant a kick in his face, but Mario blocks it with his forearm.)

Sonic: Hehe...nice to know you haven't lost your touch, Mario!

(Sonic takes another swing at Mario, who backtracks out of reach and attempts to punch Sonic, but he hits nothing but air as Sonic races half a circle behind him. The hedgehog throws a punch that Mario catches in a palm and uses it to throw the hedgehog behind him. Sonic lands on his feet and smiles, excitedly.)

Sonic: Ooh, not bad. Tell ya what, tubby...how about a rematch? For old times' sake?

Mario: Let's-a go!

(On seeing Mario is ready for some action, Sonic takes a combat-ready pose.)

Sonic: Alright! Don't go holdin' back on me, alright?

Mario: Oh yeah!

(Both make a break for each other. Fade to black.)

Ending: Finding his friends and thwarting Dr. Eggman, Sonic was able to negotiate a truce in which they could find their way back...thanks in part to the seven Chaos Emeralds. With a special device concocted by Tails and Eggman, the emeralds were able to open the portal back to their world. On their return, life returned to the way it was--Eggman would hatch a new plan to take over the world and Sonic would be there to stop him. The blue hedgehog wouldn't have it any other way.
