Bio: As a teenager, Cloud Strife tried to join the Shinra Army unit known as SOLDIER, but didn't quite live up to their expectations, instead becoming an infantryman who would have to work his way up through the ranks. After a tragedy in his hometown of Niebelheim that involved the fallen hero, Sephiroth, he was used as a human lab-rat that resulted in him being imbued with the cells of a being known as Jenova. With help from his friend, Zack Fair, he escaped, but after being on the run, Zack gave his life to save Cloud's own and unintentionally implanted his memories in Cloud's mind. Cloud would find his way to the city of Midgar, become a freedom fighter, defeat Sephiroth twice, and help end the plague of Geostigma.

Special Moves:

-Cross-Slash: Cloud will slash twice, first impact stunning the adversary, second one adding damage, then finish it off with a third strike that deals even more damage and sends the enemy flying backward.

-Materia: Cloud will put a hand forward and shoot an elemental projectile at the opponent.

LIGHT: A spear of lightning that shoots across the stage at high speeds

MEDI: A fireball that moves at average speeds, but explodes on contact with the opponent

HEAVY: A shard of ice that moves slow, but hones in on the opponent

-Blade Beam: Cloud pulls back his sword, charges blue energy into it, then performs a vertical chop, causing a blade of energy to fly from the arch. Certain variations of the attack can fork out to strike multiple times.

-Braver: Cloud jumps into the air and swings downward, twisting his body in midair to increase the striking speed and strength.

-Climhazzard: Cloud thrusts with his blade, then jumps into the air with his enemy still on the blade. He finishes it by pulling out his blade and slamming the enemy to the ground with it.

-Finishing Touch: Cloud performs a spinning backhand slash that slightly lifts the opponent into the air, then swings his sword to send them flying away.

Throws

FORWARD: Cloud hits the enemy with the pommel of his blade, then thrusts his boot into their midsection to kick them away.

BACKWARD: Cloud slides past the enemy, then takes a whirling vertical slash at their back.

Super Moves:

-Meteorain: Cloud holds up his sword and twirls it a few times before pointing it forward, causing a multitude of meteors to rain down and strike the opponent multiple times.

-Limit Break: Cloud holds up his sword and gains a bluish-green aura. His Special Attacks will gain a significant boost in strength and range, but Cloud will only be able to use three in one sitting. After those three attacks, its effects will wear off.

-Omnislash: Cloud will lunge at his opponent and, if it hits, the move will commence. The opponent will levitate into the air and Cloud will race through them, blade extended, doing damage with each pass. He will do this 13 times before pulling back his blade and unleashing his final slash, which causes an explosion of white energy.

FATALITIES:

-Killhazzard: Cloud rushes forward and stabs the opponent with the Buster Sword, bladed end facing up. With a good wrench, he jumps while carving through the opponent, splitting their upper body in two, then comes back down for a vertical chop that goes through the lower body. As the two halves of the opponent fall to the floor, Cloud twirls the Buster Sword and straps it to his back.

-Omnislash Lethal Ver.: Cloud readies his Buster Sword, then rushes past the opponent ten different times, finishing with a final swing stronger than the last. Cloud then turns his back on the opponent as they slowly fall to pieces, a massive V-shaped gouge being a primary focus as they tumble to the ground and fall apart.

Intro: Cloud rides in on his motorcycle, Fenrir, steps off, and takes his classic battle position.

Outro: Cloud twirls his sword around, then sheathes it on his back before looking forward with an intense glare.

Prologue: Even in a world with demigods capable of destroying the planet, a race of talking beasts, and where "magic" was a regular thing, the appearance of dark portals was unusual even to the inhabitants of Edge, a city built on the rim of Midgar's ruins. Cloud Strife, the hero who saved the world multiple times, rose to the occasion. After some insistence from Tifa Lockhart about him no longer having to be a lone wolf in these kinds of affairs, they agreed to enter the portal's depths together. The plan backfired, however, when the two were separated upon entering. Cloud knew not to worry too much, for Tifa could handle herself, but he also saw that he would have to fight to the top if he ever wanted to get behind this.

Rival Cutscene:

(Cloud is leaned up against the wall, arms folded over his chest and eyes closed. After a series of long battles, he couldn't refuse a brief rest. That rest is soon interrupted when he hears footsteps round a nearby corner and a voice speak his name.)

???: Wha-Cloud!

(Cloud's eyes snap open and focus on Link, whose hand quickly finds the hilt of the Master Sword.)

Cloud: Relax. (on seeing Link give him a slightly-questioning look) I'm not your enemy. Not here, anyway.

(Link hesitantly releases the Master Sword and draws closer, slowly but no longer on-edge.)

Link: I...take it you bear no ill will towards me for our last encounter?

Cloud: (closes eyes again) No. That was beyond our control. I had no choice, and I doubt you did either.

Link: You speak the truth. I hold no grudge against you. (pauses to think, then starts) Oh! Have you seen a princess around here?

Cloud: (eyes open, then shakes his head) No. Sorry. (notices Link's rather-down expression) She important to you?

Link: (nods) Yes. I swore to protect her, now she's gone. Maybe...you can help me?

Cloud: (stands away from the wall) I can't. I'm also looking for someone close to me.

Link: Then maybe we can search together?

Cloud: (shakes head again) No, Link. Sometimes, we have to fight our own battles.

Link: (somewhat insulted) You are calm for someone looking for a close friend-

Cloud: Don't misunderstand. I do care, but getting myself in a panic won't get me any closer. Besides...she can take care of herself until I find her.

Link: (thoughtful pause) There is logic in your reasoning. But still...you and I differ. I have a lot more to lose than just a close friend, so I have much more to lose if I fail.

(Cloud analyzes Link and the ferocity in his eyes.)

Cloud: I see. That IS different. (walks a short distance away)

Link: Cloud, where-?

(Cloud stops a short distance away, then turns on Link and draws the Buster Sword.)

Cloud: (calmly) Fight me, Link.

Link: (startled) Cloud, what are-?!

Cloud: I want to see your drive to win...and to show you that I have just as strong a drive. Maybe then we can see ourselves as equal in our quests.

Link: But Cloud, I thought you said-

Cloud: This won't be a fight to the death. Just a test of drive and strength.

(Link sighs in relief and lets go of his tension, then snaps his attention to Cloud with a determined fire in his eyes.)

Link: Right. I accept!

(Link draws the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. The two stare each other down as the camera fades to black.)

Ending: Cloud stood over the defeated mastermind, reminding them to stop screwing with affairs that could tear entire universes apart. Shortly after an agreement was made, another entered the room--Tifa, who had been looking for Cloud all along. On seeing that the crisis was averted, she asked Cloud about how he felt. A slight smile brought itself across his face as he replied, "Never better." They both returned to Edge and resumed their daily life...though Cloud's mood seemed to lighten more and more each day. On asking him why the sudden shift in moods, Cloud could only shrug and let her take his hand in her own. "Maybe...I've found something-no...someone, worth being happy for." was his answer.
