Special Attacks:
-Lightning: Raiden fires a spear of lightning from his palms that spans the stage. Has a chance to stun the opponent.
-Electric Fly: Raiden flies at his opponent, fists extended, to slam into them, electrocuting them and pushing them back to the wall on successful impact.
-Vicinity Blast: Raiden creates a swift, upward-aimed blast of electricity in an uppercut fashion. Can knock enemies into an airborne arc.
-Shocking Touch: Command Grab. Raiden seizes his opponent and sends electricity coursing through their body before one final burst sends them backward.
-Tripwire: Raiden creates a small sphere of lightning at some point on the field. Should the opponent touch it, they will be violently electrocuted. Up to three can exist on the field at a time, and they vanish after a few seconds if left alone.
-Teleport: Raiden vanishes from the head down, then reappears from the feet up at a different part of the stage.
Throws
FORWARD: Raiden uppercuts the opponent into the air, then teleports above them to blast them back down with lightning.
BACKWARD: Raiden teleports behind the enemy and shoots lightning at their back, blasting them away.
Super Moves:
-Godly Storm: Raiden stuns his enemy with a quick burst of lightning, then teleports away. He reappears behind them before barraging them with lightning bolts. He then teleports to just in front of them and uppercuts them, sending them up into the air before raising his hand. After a quick spark, a blast of lightning bursts from his palm and strikes the opponent full-on. When it finishes, the opponent falls back down to the ground.
-Lightning Sphere: Raiden hovers in the air and conjures a sphere of crackling electricity around himself and slowly advances on the opponent, with the player being able to adjust his path (up, down, sideways). Touch alone will inflict multiple hits and push the opponent where Raiden wants them to go. He then finishes with a last surge of electricity before returning to his traditional combat stance.
-Divine Wrath: Raiden sends a bolt of lightning down that sends the opponent flying high up in the air. At the peak of their climb, Raiden flies up to punch them in the back, electrocuting them to the point that their skeleton becomes visible. He then separates from them and sends them rocketing back down with a massive bolt of lightning.
FATALITIES:
-Eye Opener: Raiden seizes the opponent by the head and forces them onto their knees, electrocuting them until the sheer magnitude causes their eyeballs to pop out of their sockets. In time, their neck combusts, causing the head to fly high into the air. Raiden then fires twin streams of lightning at it, resulting in it exploding.
-Alternating Current: Raiden puts his hand forward and lightning shoots out to electrocute the opponent, who he then levitates into the air. He then throws his arms apart and the opponent's limbs are ripped from their body, connected only by electricity. He then snaps his arms together and the limbs and torso clump together into a ball. With one final move, Raiden charges an orb of electricity in his hands and fires it at the mass, causing them all to scatter.
Intro: Lightning strikes, but connects to the ground as Raiden is constructed from the feet up. Once fully materialized, he takes a combat stance.
Outro: Raiden looks down on his fallen opponent, then turns his gaze to the sky and raises a hand. Lightning bursts from his palm and creates thunder in its wake.

"You face a God of Thunder. Does that not bother you?"
"Earthrealm depends on my victory."
Outro Quotes: "Stay down or risk more injury."
"Do not anger a God."

Prologue: Through his special intelligence, Lord Raiden--Protector of Earthrealm, had heard of a terrible plan from the evil Konqueror, Shao Kahn. The ruler of Outworld had found the portals dotting the many realms and decided to invade this newly-discovered realm in the hopes of finding new power to overthrow the Elder Gods and further Outworld's conquest. The Thunder God pursued Shao Kahn through the closest portal he could find, knowing full well he couldn't let the emperor seize any more worlds in his iron grip.
Rival Cutscene:
(Raiden stands atop a high cliff, apparently in deep thought as indicated by the hand reaching up to rest on his chin.)
Lord Raiden: Shao Kahn...I know you are here. Your presence speaks to me, but this world is unlike any I have ever witnessed across the Realms. If you gain allies or power from the many visitors this realm has brought...I shudder to imagine what havoc you will wreak. (removes hand from chin and crosses arms over chest) I will NOT let that happen, and I WILL bring your reign to an end.
(Raiden crosses his arms over his chest, until he hears a faint voice uttering what may have been a challenge. He glances down from atop the cliff and spots a tall, muscular figure with a flowing, red cape.)
Lord Raiden: Thor? (sighs) He had to be here as well...better teach him a lesson in humility that he'd best not forget.
(Lord Raiden disappears in a shower of lightning, making only his voice known to Thor.)
Lord Raiden: So...you made it here as well?
Thor: (whirls around, sees no one) Who speaks to me? Show thyself!
(Lightning strikes the ground, yet doesn't vanish, rather it builds into the form of Lord Raiden.)
Lord Raiden: I still do not understand why one like you became God of Thunder.
Thor: (slight smile) Lord Raiden of Earthrealm. Have you learned nothing from when we battled last?
Lord Raiden: I have...and it is that your status of godhood is undeserving of you, Odinson.
Thor: Did I hear correctly? My ears must be deceiving me, for I could have sworn you called me "unworthy". Last I recalled, a God of Thunder should not have been so easily slain.
Lord Raiden: (getting frustrated) Might is not everything, Thor! What good is power unstructured by wisdom?
Thor: And what good is wisdom without power to enforce it?
Lord Raiden: My wisdom has stopped the rule of conquering empires.
Thor: Along with causing the death of your own allies, some of which were done by your own hand.
Lord Raiden: Please tell me you are not this naive, Thor. (lightning gathers in his hands) Victory always comes with sacrifice, especially in war! You should know this yourself!
Thor: If you were so willing to sacrifice your own allies (readies Mjolnir), were they ever your "friends" to begin with?
Lord Raiden: I see that the time for battling with words has long passed. (takes combat stance) I will put you in your place, Asgardian.
Thor: (takes own combat stance) You shall try, 'Protector' of Earthrealm.
(As the two stand at the ready, lightning decorates the sky above them, heralding a clash of Thunder Gods. Fade to black.)
Ending: Lord Raiden was successful in securing the center of the dimensional activity and had beaten out Shao Kahn in the race to achieve it. The Emperor of Outworld was faced with the Storm God's full and undivided wrath, and Raiden returned him to the Realm of Mortal Kombat to await proper punishment. Victory, Lord Raiden knew, was always short-lived and with the existence of other realms at risk to the likes of Kahn, he knew he would need more than just the defenders of Earthrealm to protect them. A new order of warriors would be formed with Lord Raiden at their head--the Defenders of the Multiverse.
