Bio: Born from the forbidden love between an ice-woman and a fire-demon, Hiei was abandoned at birth and cast from the floating island that was his home. Remembering every moment of it, Hiei swore revenge on those that had wronged him and trained under his foster-family to become a bandit of the demon realm, bolstering his abilities by implanting the Jagan Eye into his forehead. His life would change, however, when he met the Spirit Detective, Yusuke Urameshi, and learned he had a twin sister that he swore to protect at all cost.

Special Attacks:

-Jagan: Hiei removes his headband, revealing the eye on his forehead and surrounding him in a faint, purple aura. In this state, the window to block, evade, counter or break-counter becomes easier to see and exploit and Hiei gains an extra jump. This state slowly, but steadily, drains his Super Meter, so it must be used cautiously.

-Fist of the Mortal Flame: Hiei coats his fist in open flame and uses one of three moves. By giving a bar of Super Meter, Hiei can swap out regular flame for black demon fire.

LIGHT: Slides forward with a fire-laced haymaker. Useful for crossing distances.

MEDI: Rushes forward a short distance to throw a hook followed by an uppercut that can launch the opponent.

HEAVY: Unleashes a flurry of punches ending with a powerful jab that sends the opponent back.

-Flamethrower: Hiei creates a spiraling wave of fire that travels an average distance and can hit repeatedly.

-After Image: Hiei stands still, looking ready to move. If the opponent attacks him in this state, he will vanish and reappear behind them, kicking them in the back.

-Sword of the Darkness Flame: Hiei coats his sword with demon fire and lashes out with it, creating a short-range wave of black flame.

Throws

FORWARD: Hiei grabs the opponent, pulls them to his level, then punches them repeatedly in the midsection before kicking them away.

BACKWARD: Hiei strikes the opponent with the pommel of his blade, stunning them, then vanishes and reappears behind them, hacking their back and knocking them down.

Super Moves:

-Dragon of Darkness Flame: Hiei tears a cloth band off his arm, revealing a black tattoo, then thrusts his fist forward, unleashing a serpentine dragon made entirely of black flame. It spans the entire stage and inflicts heavy fire damage.

-Dragon Absorption: Hiei turns the Dragon of Darkness Flame onto himself and absorbs its power. In this state, Hiei's attacks gain a fire element to them and his fire-based attacks gain a significant boost in power and range. His jumping ability and dashing speed also get a significant boost.

*Demonic Dragon Power: Available only when using Dragon Absorption, Hiei charges toward the opponent with a flaming punch. On a successful hit, he will pummel the opponent repeatedly with fists of black flame, then jumps high into the air and unleashes six, serpentine black-fire dragons that converge on the opponent, inflicting heavy fire damage. Afterward, the opponent is floored, but Hiei also takes significant damage. This move must be used with great care.

FATALITIES:

-Sixteen Slices: Hiei grips the hilt of his sword, looking ready to strike, then closes his eyes, smiles, and stands back up, releasing his sword. As soon as he turns his back on the opponent, sixteen thin lines spread across their body. In time, the lines expand and blood sprays from them as the opponent falls to the ground in pieces.

-Jagan's Grip: Hiei activates his Jagan and changes into a multi-eyed beast. He then extends his hand and a series of energy rings binds the opponent, snapping their arms to their sides and their legs together. He then lifts them into the air and clenches his hand into a fist, the rings tightening around the opponent until, with a sickening series of snaps and crunches, the opponent is broken into pieces.

Intro: Hiei, garbed in a white cloak, stands in silence. He then turns his attention to his opponents, casts off his cloak and grips the hilt of a sword.

Outro: Hiei sheathes his sword, folds his arms across his chest, and casts a glower at his opponent.

Prologue: In the human world, strange events were occurring all across the human and demon worlds. On investigation with Yusuke the Spirit Detective, it was concurred that the mysterious portals that appeared were neither human nor demonic in nature. With just about all forms of experimentation out the window, the group decided it was best to just take the plunge and brave the dangers within, which they did posthaste. Hiei found himself on the other side...and alone with no trace of his teammates. ...Oh well.

Rival Cutscene:

(Deep in a dark woodland, illuminated by the crimson moon overhead, Hiei darts across the forest floor. His Jagan is active and searching for any sort of illusion or way out. Not seeing anything, he deactivates his third eye and springs into the treetops, resting his back to the trunk.)

Hiei: (thinking) No way out except in combat. I'll give credit to whoever thought this out--it's not boring...except they were all disappointingly weak.

(Hiei's mind wanders slightly to the rest of his team.)

Hiei: (thinking) It would be a shame if Yusuke and the others met a terrible fate.

(A presence suddenly settles on the branch right behind Hiei, but he does not move. He recognizes it, but does not move a muscle.

????: It's no illusion, that much is certain. So I'm not imagining things. It's just how the world is.

(Hiei recognizes the voice, but makes no move. He instead speaks up.)

Hiei: Took you this long to figure that out? I thought you were smart, Uchiha.

(Opposite of Hiei is revealed to be Sasuke, standing on the thick of the branch, eyes focused on the world before him. If Sasuke is perturbed by Hiei's revelation, he doesn't show it.)

Sasuke: Please. You were likely in my situation for just as long, if not longer.

Hiei: I will not dignify you with a response.

Sasuke: Was that a confession, Hiei?

Hiei: Hmph. Cheek will get you nothing.

Sasuke: Fine. Have it your way. We have business to tend to anyway.

Hiei: Yes. Let's.

(Standing back-to-back, the camera pans away from the two until only the tree is visible. With a resounding "clang", the tree's upper half suddenly falls away and the two are exchanging blows and sword strikes at lightning-pace, the two locking swords on the tree stump. The two then spring apart, Sasuke charging a hand with crackling lightning while Hiei coats his in open flame. The two charge once more, ready to strike before the scene fades to black.)

Ending: Toppling the Mastermind of Death Battle was a particularly easy feat for Hiei. When he reunited with his fellow Spirit Detectives, Hiei decided to take a small detour. In his trials, he had heard of a tournament where powerful warriors gathered and were regularly visited by a powerful race. As such, he appeared in time to register for the World Martial Arts Tournament. His opponent, a member of the proud Saiyan race named Son Goku, commented that Hiei looked "very strong". Taking the compliment, Hiei prepared for a new battle...
